Service Description

ABOUT THE TOUR: History, Highways, and Haunts, LLC has been given exclusive access to guide guests on a lantern tour of the village of Rugby, as well as many of the buildings that date back to the 1880s. Join us as we step back in time to explore the history, legends, and ghost stories that surround this historic location. This tour will take you through the village and includes entrance into Rugby Schoolhouse, the Hughes Library, Kingstone Lisle, a walk to the Newbury House. If this is your first trip to Historic Rugby or if you are unfamiliar with the history, we recommend you take this tour first! *** PLEASE NOTE: All times are in EASTERN STANDARD TIME ZONE and tours start at the Rugby Visitor Centre.*** - Each tour can last from 90 minutes to 2 hours (groups of 10 or less). *Larger groups can be accommodated if you call us in advance. - Check in will begin 15 minutes before each tour and the tours will start promptly at the listed start time. We WILL NOT wait for late arrivals, so please be on time. - If you are booked and can't make the tour, please be considerate and let us know if you won't be coming. - Tickets MUST be purchased in advance by booking online or calling our office line at 423-663-5353 between the hours of 11am-4pm EST on Thursdays - Mondays. Due to high demand and capacity of the buildings, tickets will NOT be sold at the door at the time of the event. They can be purchased on the day of the event when purchased by 4pm EST. - This is NOT a paranormal investigation. NO OUTSIDE PARANORMAL EQUIPMENT will be allowed on the lantern tours. - Audio and video recording of the tours are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. - Photography is highly encouraged, so please bring your camera. - For more information call - 423-663-5353. All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given. PLEASE NOTE: This is a mildly strenuous outside walk around the village. Please dress weather accordingly and wear appropriate walking shoes. There are inherent dangers such as uneven walkways and grassy surfaces.

Cancellation Policy

All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. This is a rain or shine tour. If the National Weather Service issues a severe weather warning, we will notify you and offer a rain check. Otherwise, dress weather accordingly and bring an umbrella if rain is predicted. Accessibility: For wheelchairs and scooters, many of the buildings and structures are not accessible. Assistance and service dogs, are the only animals that are allowed to enter the historic structure.
