The village of Rugby, established in the 1880s, is a living community and a historic site that is preserving the story of the English families who attempted a cooperative enterprise on the Cumberland Plateau. History, Highways, and Haunts, LLC has partnered with Historic Rugby, Inc. to offer visitors “after dark” tours of this historic location.
Private Paranormal Investigations
Private paranormal investigations are of the town ONLY and DOES NOT include lodging.
If you are planning an investigation and would like to stay at one of Rugby's many lodging options, you will need to book your investigation of the village through our calendar and then book your overnight lodging with Historic Rugby, Inc.

Participants must be 18+ years of age. No exceptions.

Your group will have access to at least 5 of the historic structures in Rugby: The Thomas Hughes Library, Kingston Lisle (Thomas Hughes' Home), The Rugby Schoolhouse, The Visitor Centre Theatre and Uffington House (Madame Margaret Hughes' Home).

You can investigate the grounds around these buildings as well.

Your investigation hours will be from 8:30 pm EST to 12:00 am EST.

All investigations must be scheduled at least 3 days in advance.

The buildings are NOT climate controlled, so dress accordingly for the weather forecast on your investigation night.

Cost: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night: $550 (plus tax) for teams of 1-8 people. Non-refundable deposit of $200 is due at the time of booking. Final balance is due in CASH upon your arrival. You must have the exact amount as change will not be given.

Bookings are for professional paranormal teams/individuals and spots cannot be individually re-sold for that team’s profit.

Your investigation CANNOT be billed as an event. No third-party event companies.

Mini Private Paranormal Investigation - 3.5 hours

Want to book a paranormal investigation, but don't want to spend 6.5 hours in the Village or be led by a guide on a guided ghost hunt? Maybe you are a solo investigator or have a smaller team. Our mini private paranormal investigation is for you! This 3.5 hour investigation allows you to experience the Village, but is less money and time than our full investigation.

Your investigation hours will be from 8:30 pm EST to 3:00 am EST. Group registration and tour of the Village will begin at 8:30pm, during which we will share the history and paranormal hot spots. Your investigation will begin at 9pm EST.

Teams are responsible for their own equipment. None will be provided by History, Highways, and Haunts, LLC.

Guided Ghost Hunts
The village of Rugby is immersed with a historic and haunting past, and many of the original buildings from the 1880s are still standing to tell their tales. Join us for a 2.5 hour, fully immersive paranormal experience where we will guide you through some of the original buildings and homes, each reported to have ghostly occurrences and unexplained happenings. Led by Ghost Biker Explorations or Soul Sisters Paranormal, our Guided Ghost Hunt will allow each visitor to experience an immersive ghost hunt, and you will be introduced to tools and techniques used by experienced paranormal investigators who study the realm of the unexplained.

Participants must be 18+ years of age. We will allow 16+ when accompanied by a parent for the Guided Ghost Hunts ONLY.

Guided Ghost Hunts are for groups of 1-5 people. We keep groups small and intimate.

Your ticket price of $275 includes all 5 tickets. You don't have to have 5 people to book, that is just what your purchase includes.

Our experienced paranormal investigators have a combined total of nearly 30 years of investigation experience and will provide a short tour of the village, along with an overview of paranormal investigation techniques during the first 30 minutes.

We encourage you to bring cameras, audio recorders and any tools you may have. Your guide will have tools that you can use on the investigation, including K2 meters, REMpods, spirit boxes, trip wires, dowsing rods, etc.

Your night starts out with a 30 minute history tour of the village and paranormal 101. The first hour of the ghost hunt will be guided. The second hour, you will be allowed to investigate on your own, with the professional investigator staying onsite to provide assistance.
