The village of Rugby, established in the 1880s, is a living community and a historic site that is preserving the story of the English families who attempted a cooperative enterprise on the Cumberland Plateau. History, Highways, and Haunts, LLC has partnered with Historic Rugby, Inc. to offer visitors “after dark” tours of this historic location. Tours include: Haunted History and Ghost Walks, Guided Ghost Hunts, and Private Paranormal Investigations.

The goal of History, Highways, and Haunts, LLC is to provide historically accurate and entertaining tours at each of our partner locations. Each of our after dark tours are designed to convey the historical significance of each location, as well as any legends

and ghost stories that have been handed down through the generations.
 

We currently offer 2 different lantern tours - Haunted Village Lantern Tour and Haunted North Village & Cemetery Tour. If this is your first trip to Historic Rugby or if you are unfamiliar with the history, we recommend you take the Haunted Village Lantern Tour first. This tour gives a more detailed history of the village. The Haunted North Village & Cemetery Tour gives a brief timeline of the history and talks more about Victorian burial customs, Appalachian superstitions and burial customs and cryptids.
